Daniel Muñoz Sánchez (autor) Nació en Madrid (España). Se licenció en Derecho por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Desde siempre le interesó la psicología. Por esta razón, estudió un Máster en Programación Neurolingüística e Inteligencia Emocional. A los 7 años, empezó a jugar al ajedrez y no ha parado desde entonces. Ha tenido la fortuna de competir en la División de Honor de la Liga Madrileña, aunque antes pasó por todas las demás divisiones inferiores. Ha formado a jugadores de equipos de ajedrez base,competidores individuales y ha enseñado a niños. Desde hace un año, divulga lo que sabe sobre ajedrez en la página web: www.thezugzwangblog.com con más de 30.000 visitas mensuales.También es colaborador de la prestigiosa revista online Chessbase. Él mismo puso en práctica las ideas que expone en este libro. Gracias a ello, incrementó su ELO FIDE de 1976 a 2100. Gran maestro Herminio Herráiz (coautor) Nació en Las Pedroñeras (España). Estudió Matemáticas en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Ha jugado al más alto nivel, representando a España en las Olimpiadas de Ajedrez de 2004 y compitiendo en importantes torneos internacionales (tercer puesto en el Campeonato de España Absoluto, Campeón de España Universitario, primer puesto en el Magistral de Elgóibar…). Actualmente, posee un ELO FIDE de 2456 y es FIDE Trainer (título superior de la FIDE). Aunque es un jugador profesional, dedica gran parte de su tiempo a desarrollar nuevos talentos y otros grandes maestros de prestigio internacional. También imparte seminarios y conferencias sobre ajedrez. El método Zugzwang es el primer libro en el que participa como coautor.
